Skill contest
Skill Quest Official Rules
Effective 2026-08-01. Sponsor: TalentProof (TalentProof Studio / talentproof.ai), the “Sponsor”.. Draft for counsel review. Not legal advice. Prize claim and PayPal payout ops ship after counsel sign-off.
Summary: public assessment packaging · when announced, purse USD $100 via PayPal · ranked by skill, not chance.
1. Overview
Skill Quest (the “Contest”) is a skill contest on talentproof.ai. Each Quest is a public packaging of a TalentProof multi-step assessment (for example rapid-fire, written Q&A, and Hands-On). Rankings use objective assessment scoring. Chance does not determine the winner.
The 5-Minute Knowledge Dare on /dare is a separate practice product and is not this Contest.
This Contest is void where prohibited. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your place of residence, if higher).
You must be signed in with a TalentProof account that has a valid email address to start a Quest attempt and to appear on the public completers board.
You may practice on /dare from anywhere the product is available. Prize eligibility requires a PayPal account that can receive USD from the Sponsor, and you must not reside where the Contest is prohibited. The Sponsor may publish an eligible-country list or exclude jurisdictions at any time.
Employees, contractors, and household members of the Sponsor are not eligible for prizes. One person may use only one account. Multi-accounting or botting is grounds for disqualification.
3. How to enter
Open an active Quest from /skill-quest, complete the assessment steps for that Quest, and submit. Entry uses the same assessment engines and integrity controls configured for that Quest.
No purchase is required to enter. Attempt limits, if any, are stated on the Quest page.
Your best completed attempt for that Quest (by skill score, then authenticity or time as shown on the board) counts for ranking when a prize is offered.
4. Winner determination (skill)
Scoring follows the Quest’s assessment configuration (step scores, gates, and integrity signals). Ranking uses skill metrics from the assessment scorecard. Ties use the next skill criterion. The Sponsor will not break ties by random draw.
The Sponsor’s scoring systems and board records are final, subject to verification for eligibility and fair play.
5. Prizes (when offered)
When the Sponsor announces a prize for a Quest on /skill-quest, the prize is One Hundred US Dollars (USD $100), paid by PayPal cash transfer to one verified winner, unless a different amount is clearly stated for that Quest.
If no prize is announced, the public completers board still operates. No prize is owed.
Prize value is taxable income to the winner under applicable law. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes. The Sponsor may require Form W-9 (or equivalent) before payment when required for tax reporting.
Potential winners must claim within fourteen (14) days of notification. Failure to claim, failure to provide a valid PayPal account that can receive USD, or failure to complete verification forfeits the prize. The Sponsor may award to the next eligible ranked entrant.
6. Publicity
By completing a Quest, you agree that your display name, profile handle (if any), score signals, and a link to your public scorecard may be shown on the Quest completers board.
7. Fair play
The Sponsor may disqualify entries that involve cheating, automation, multi-accounting, exploiting bugs, or conduct that undermines fair skill competition.
8. Product nature
A Quest uses the same assessment stack as hiring assessments. When proctoring and validation are enabled for that Quest, completion produces a verified TalentProof scorecard that may be shown publicly. Integrity matches the toggles configured for that Quest.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SPONSOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR TECHNICAL FAILURES, LOST DATA, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS THE SITE. THE CONTEST IS PROVIDED AS-IS.
9. Governing law
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer law applies.
